First Buyer Moves Into West Chester's Riggtown Commons

After nearly two years of planning and development, Megill Custom Homes & Renovations has sold the first of four townhomes in the 700 block of South Matlack Street. 

Purchased in 2019, the Megills worked with the borough to develop the two underutilized parcels into four upscale homes that resemble the exterior style of the gracious homes built at the turn of the 20th century. The homes include rear entry garages and off-street parking and a shared fenced backyard.

The four homes feature brick exteriors, including a new brick sidewalk,  and full width front porches, constructed of TimberTech. Inside the homes, buyers can work with the builder to finish the home to their taste, or choose from a builder “spec” home, which will be move-in ready by June 6. 

Walkability key

The first buyer moved in March from about one mile away. Amanda Lott, a member of Megill’s real estate team, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to live in a Megill home that offered a walkable lifestyle.

Riggtown Commons has two end unit homes available for purchase. Prices start at $995,000.
